Glendale AZ Wedding DJ

January 26, 2009

This week I’ll be doing a wedding and reception for a really nice couple who already warned me there won’t be much dancing.  Of course the bride and groom know they will be getting up there for a few formals, but they asked me to shorten the songs for them and not to worry when their small crowd doesn’t have “boogie fever”.

A wedding DJ needs to be careful not to try too hard when the group just doesn’t like to dance.  Yelling into the microphone and seeing the event as an opportunity to entice folks to the dance floor with their amazing skills is a recipe for a cheesy wedding DJ, and that is someone I never want to be.  I intend to provide them with exactly what they have asked for- elegant and sophisticated music with appropriate emcee direction and onsite event coordination.  This should be a relaxing and enjoyable time for all.
